The almost assured inclusion of fetchlands, coupled with an assumed low print run due to the pandemic, means we might be seeing another home run hit by Wizards. For me wizards is now in a state that they would do anything to make money ....expeditions where introduced as a Lotterycard back in the time ...wizards clearly specified that non-standard expedition copies are only in limited legal not in t2. Today we crack open a Zendikar Rising Collector's Booster Box on the hunt for some foil fetch lands. Fetchlands will most likely be in the VIP packs. I do not believe that Fetchlands will be in Zendikar Rising collectors boxes, and I have a couple reasons why. And why? Zendikar rising collectors has preorders?? Anything zendikar turns to gold it's not just a homerun it's a grandslam. Each Zendikar Rising Collector Booster Box contains 12 Zendikar Rising Collector Boosters and 2 non-foil Expedition Land box toppers. https://www.cmogames.com/magic-the-gathering-collector-booster-zendikar-rising/. VIP packs on the other hand will only be at Local Game stores. 2.Collectors boxes for standard sets have not contained cards outside the actual set and concurrent ancillary releases. 1.The official announcement makes references that do not support this claim. Notably in the last line of the announcement, it is said that they will be available in stylized form, at local game stores. Where???? Wizards of the Coast has released a full list of every product associated with Zendikar Rising ... Collector Boosters. As for the wording from Wotc, the sentence you are calling out uses the phrase, "also be in your local game store". You’re wrong bro. Collector Boosters will always have a foil full-art basic land. Been saying it wayyyy before the leaked rumor that they will be in collector boosters. As far as we know, collectors boosters only contain cards from the most current set and its ancillary releases, such as contemporaneous plansewalker decks, brawl decks, and commander decks. There is no evidence to support the inclusion of cards exclusive to the collectors boosters during the same print cycle. Each Zendikar Rising Collector Booster contains 15 cards + 1 token: 1 foil alternate frame rare, mythic or Expedition 1 foil regular rare or mythic 1 non-foil showcase / borderless rare or mythic "in addition to" - as in, good news, you can buy boxes of zendikar rising at your LGS. You can buy Collector Boosters at big box stores. Our Bundles include full-art basics in the 10 Draft Boosters inside, but the 40 additional lands (20 non-foil, 20 foil) use a regular-crop basic land instead of the full art. The almost assured inclusion of fetchlands, coupled with an assumed low print run due to the pandemic, means we might be seeing another home run hit by Wizards. I personally netted several hundred from Jump Start (big brags). Zendikar Rising Collectors have officially hit the preorder seen, ranging from $250 to $400 a box. I think WotC is aware that they need to be "pro LGS" when they talk about products, and in this specific case, they are doing just that. Really could easily include fetches without being a point of confusion. Source: https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/news/making-fetch-happen-secret-lair-ultimate-edition-2020-03-13. Who says they wouldn’t do it like this again but only in collectors boosters ? Didn't ikoria collectors packs have commander cards in them? The sealed market has been booming for the past year: Mystery boosters, Ikoria Collectors, and now Jump Start have yielded those willing to gamble on them some high margins. These are great as an intro-level product or for more casual players looking to grab a bunch of cards of a certain color or theme. They’re coming as Masterpieces again. From the fetchland announcement earlier this year: Speaking of old favorites, this isn't the last time you'll see fetch lands this year, either. This is Reddit's hub for discussing speculating(2) and not for discussing speculating(1) about Magic: the Gathering cards. Edit: CMO is preordering at $250 each - https://www.cmogames.com/magic-the-gathering-collector-booster-zendikar-rising/ - everyone else is preordering in the $390-$400 range. This could be a not yet announced product that will surprise announced, or commander legends should that get as widespread a release. Speculat(e/ing) The rumor may be bogus, but i kinda think your rationale for the rumor being false is a stretch. That is cards that are not in the standard set... Isnt the main reason people believe they will be in collector boosters because the guy whos been right about tonnes of leaks over the past year said so? 1. form a theory or conjecture about a subject without firm evidence. Press J to jump to the feed. 2. invest in stocks, property, or other ventures in the hope of gain but with the risk of loss. Stylized versions of products are occurring beyond the collectors edition, most recently the vip/boxtoppers in double masters, so we can't assume that the mention of a stylized version implies the standard collectors editions. I think gambling on it is a 50/50 game.... it could be a mix of everything we had before for one of the most desired land interaction in the whole game! Zendikar Rising marks the return of Theme Boosters! Personally, gonna wait and see. There are six different Theme Boosters available: one for each color and a multicolor Party Theme Booster which contains a bunch of cards that have or relate to the new party mechanic. I would not pre-order Zendikar Rising Collector boosters until we see spoilers for Double Masters and VIP packs. Collectors boxes for standard sets have not contained cards outside the actual set and concurrent ancillary releases. Featuring high-end ... including all 10 MTG fetch lands. The announcement specifically states that they will be available at local game stores, and does not mention big box stores. I apologize if this has been posted before, but at want number do you think this might be a good investment? While they will not be entering Standard in 2020 (let's put that rumor to rest right now—having these in abundance still isn't a play pattern we want in Standard), there will be another way to pick up some stylized versions of fetch lands later this year that will also be in your local game store. They are but it won't be as substantial a reprint as people are hoping. But i suspect there will be some drama over fetch lands no matter how this shakes out. That said, you might be right, it might be yet another entirely different product. Similarly, the Commander decks for Zendikar Rising use a regular-crop basic land. The ancillary slot doesn't really have hard rules, they change it up each time. In conclusion, i dont think you should count on the fetchlands being an assured inclusion. Zendikar Rising Collectors have officially hit the preorder seen, ranging from $250 to $400 a box.
