I haven't played any but to me they look too messy to look at. Trying to find N64 games to play on Switch. I think Fast RMX looks better personally, but both look great. Both of those games have nothing to do with F-Zero unfortunately, even if both (especially FR) feel faster than Wipeout. I found the handling in FR to be too loose, like I didn't have enough control. Also, if I want a fun racing game that I can sometimes play with my family, is Mario Kart going to be the better option? I think a good test for games like this is whether I can just play it with a few tests with the buttons and do OK. Cornering feels nice and the boosts/redouts give the game an incredible sense of speed without you feeling like you're going to just lose control. Fast RMX gameplay!! If you want FZero, FAST will disappoint immensely. Fast RMX: Looks more like WipeOut which I personally enjoyed very much. Rather, your meter fills up automatically and can be used to boost. Thanks for reading everyone. Also I have played Fast Racing Neo and Redout and for me Neo looked and played better. You will crash a lot. So what do you think? However, if you're not even good at Mario kart, stay away from this game. Unfortunately "Mars" is not getting the Switch or Switch games. Which is likely to get more support moving forward? This does however make sense as to why the Switch port is getting so many delays. Also you control your "pitch" with the right stick as well. Fast RMX not only has breakneck speed but also a bit of Ikaruga in it; what does Red Out has to offer? I don't care for the color change turbo in RMX. The announcer as well is very enthusiastic and it actually feels like you're at a sporting event and he's spectating it. Strange tiny bright spot on the Switch screen. Guest /u/sectokia Lots of them return from Fast racing Neo, all of which have a new paint job. RMX looks more like F-Zero, and Redout looks more like Wipeout. I'm not sure if this is true, but I'm pretty sure I saw some where saying it's the fastest racing game there is. Redout is too floaty and has, imho, a really strange and not so fun concept (blackout and redout in high speed, you have to pull or push the stick on slopes). I was also trying to choose between these two, would rather not get both. I'm kind of confused by that, they both look kinda floaty to me? Fast Racing NEO was a very cool game with a couple of terrible tracks (most notably the desert one with no barriers and tiny rocks you'd crash on). I was hoping someone would make this thread. Fast RMX was getting very positive reception from the Switch event where it was playable. Is the 3D world "mode" in super Mario maker 2 a dlc? Redout is a game that I found out because it was going to release on the Switch, but it got delayed over and over again and still isn't available. I'm getting both, Fast Racing RMX for a cheap Launch day (hopefully) fix. whesn redout couming to switch? It's definitely not grippy like Extreme-G or F-Zero if that's what you thought. I'm pretty much gonna "Why not both" but I don't know too much about Redout. If you're looking for an easy Mario kart like game, you've come to the wrong place. Both are real good racers but my vote is with fast rmx atm until I try out redout Not sure to what extent though. ;). You have a classic Grand Prix, with 12 cups with 3 tracks each. As a spiritual successor to F-zero, it's great. I played a couple of times the Redout demo on my PC. Guest /u/Dima470 Jun 4, 2010 4,153 0 575 I should probably have noted I've played quite a bit more of FAST than I have of RedOut so far. It's also only $11 from what I remember and is worth getting. Fast RMX is a very fast and challenging game. Fast RMX Redout Wipeout Omega I haven't played any of them so I can't tell you which is the best futuristic anti-grave racer, but they certainly all seem worth a shot at the very least. The central hub for news, updates, info, and discussion about the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch games! Mar 25, 2017 This one is: Redout vs Fast RMX. I prefer the F-Zero style but I don't plan on buying a Switch. :). I'm buying F-Zero! Redout is a great game, and Fast RMX seems like a good on as well. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts. Started October 16, 2017, By No matter what picture or video you see, it cannot do this game justice. Probably Redout, since I like grippy racers more than floaty racers. Even rookie difficulty is challenging. Fast is more straight forward with things. FAST is not good. I enjoyed Fast racing Neo and this is essentially Fast racing Neo Deluxe. Race over. The actual gameplay, controls, gimmicks, or anything related will be discussed here. SaltSlasher No Longer a Noob. It has three speed classes: subsonic, supersonic, and hypersonic. Flying off the track (a lot) and occasionally running into obstacles. Redout is extremely fast. Even rookie difficulty is challenging. Fast RMX was getting very positive reception from the Switch event where it was playable. In ways I prefer Fast RMX in that standpoint, and in ways I don't. Almost more like a flying game in this respect. I honestly haven't played F-zero. By using our Services or clicking I agree, you agree to our use of cookies. There are also a few new ships, 5 I think, possibly 6. Each course is very different to each other, and the music fits each location. I'm French I keep on mixing up the french and English word ^. Some tracks are cool, some I really like, but a lot of them are generic futuristic buildings, some look very similar to each other. Have you looked on Amazon? You must log in or register to reply here. Definitely buy Redout, and I'd buy Fast RMX as well. People also compare this to pod racing, and the fact that they literally have a pod racer for a ship kind of confirms that. Just looking at a video of it, here's a few differences I noticed: Redout has both Energy and Health separately, I couldn't tell if that makes it harder though. I did some research and seems both are launching on Mars? It might just be something you have to get used to, though, and I've only tried one of the vehicles, so I plan on giving the game another, more thorough chance when I have the time. Started November 8, 2017, By Boycotting Switch. Way more difficult than Fast RMX. But I would say: Mario kart: Family, because of the co-op and it's easy fun. My personal favorites are a huge boost that requires a full meter, and a faster respawn with the meter filled. Thanks, same conclusion: Mario Kart for my family and I. I think I'll get F-Zero Fast RMX, if I get one at all. Fast RMX looks OK but Redout is more my style personally. Even at ClassIV with augmented propeller? Unlike Fast RMX, there are no boost pads or boost orbs. Guest /u/WheelyMan260 Also it appears no one has played Redout yet. Have you ever even heard of either of these? Though it's about $40 (or $30 with a sale), I absolutely recommend this game to anyone who's up to the challenge. Don't know much about Red Out though, or how it shines. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts. :) It's available for preorder, physical copy, of course. It looks good, but it can seem a little generic at times (but I will get into that later). Guest /u/yinzr9, March 5, 2017 in :) Might need to get both then after all, one for family and one for myself. However that DLC is taking ages to get to the PS4 port, but luckily the first pack was released somewhat recently. You have a health bar that will diminish every time you scrape the wall, and can only get refilled but not scraping against anything as it automatically refills.
